What's the Difference between a CEX & A dEX?

Before you go digging into any of our sub categories, it'd be important for you to understand CEX's and DEX's. Crypto is built on the ability to be decentralized though we aren't full there yet, so we need to have apps that are centralized as well. This is the core differences, CEX's are centralized which are controlled by someone while DEX's are decentralized and controlled by code.

Centralized Exchanges

Centralized Exchanges are companies that offer you the ability to buy crypto, but usually are regulated by local governments. These are the 'on-ramps' into the true world of crypto.

Decentralized Exchanges

Decentralized Exchanges are applications on a blockchain that are free-to-use, privacy-oriented, and aren't regulated. These are what make DeFi so powerful.

Aggregators

Aggregators are tools that simply search ALL the exchanges out there and give you the best 'bang for your buck' depending on what you're looking to buy and at what time.
